Class Descriptions

All my classes are perfect for both boys and girls

 

 

Tap & Ballet Combo  (6 - 10 Yr Olds)  

Class begins with stretching and warming up our feet.  Warm-ups are then introduced at the barre.  Ballet progressions across the floor are introduced.  Tappers will learn the different sounds between a toe tap and a heel tap. Fun progressions across the floor are introduced. A fun combination will be taught the last 15 minutes of class.  No Tap or Ballet experience is required.

Tap & Jazz Combo  (6 - 10 Yr Olds)

Tap 1:  

Class begins with a warm-up at the barre and then we move to progressions across the floor. Tappers will learn the different sounds between a toe tap and a heel tap and how they sound when they are put together.  Progressions across the floor are fun. A combination will be taught the last 15 minutes of class.  No tap experience is required.

Tap 1 B:

This class is for students that have at least 1 year tap experience but not quite ready for Tap 2.  Permission from instructor is needed to register for this class. 

Tap 2:  

This class begins where Tap 1 leaves off and barre warm-ups are a bit faster.  Center floor warm-ups are introduced.  Progressions across the floor become more challenging but are still fun. A combination will be taught the last 15 minutes of class. Minimum of 1 year tap experience is required.

Tap 3:

This class picks up where Tap 2 left off with combinations being more difficult.  Tappers must know tap terminology.  Instructor permission is required.

 

Advance Tap:

 

Class begins with a vigorous  barre warm up and then moves to center floor.  Progressions across the floor are much more complex and challenging, but still fun. A combination will be taught the last 20 minutes of class.  Minimum of 3 + years of tap experience is required.   Instructor permission is required.

Beginning Adult Tap 

Class begins with a barre warm up and then moves to center floor work.  Progressions are fun and complex.  Combination will be taught the last 20 minutes of class.  No tap experience required.

Beginning Adult/Teen Tap

Class begins with a barre warm up and then moves to center floor work.  Progressions are fun and complex.  Combination will be taught the last 20 minutes of class.  No tap experience required.

 

Beginnermediate Adult/Teen Tap:

 

Class begins with a heart pumping barre warm up and then moves to center floor work. Progressions are fun and complex.  A combination will be taught the last 20 minutes of class.  Minimum of 1 year tap experience is required.

Jazz 1:

 

This class is the perfect class for kids who love to move.  The class will work on flexibility, coordination, and learning Jazz terminology. Dancers will enjoy different types of music and movement. A combination will be taught the last 15 minutes of class.  No jazz experience is required.

 

 

Jazz 2:

 

Dancers start this class with a floor warm-up along with different types of music.  Dancers will work on flexibility, coordination, and agility. The class will then work on jazz steps across the floor.  As the class progresses, more complex movements will be introduced and the class will end with a combination.  A minimum of 1 year of jazz or ballet experience is required.

Jazz 3:

This class picks up where Jazz 2 leaves off.  A minimum of 2+ years of jazz experience is required.  Instructor permission is required.

 

Beginning Teen/Adult Jazz: 

 

Classes start with a floor warm-up, which consists of isolation's and stretching.  As a class, we will work on flexibility, coordination, and agility.  While listening to music that will make you move, we will work on jazz steps/moves across the floor (these are called progressions).  We will end the class with a combination.
